COA has partnered with CancerCare to provide free local transportation to patients during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) national emergency. CancerCare is a well-known, trusted non-profit that implements many patient assistance programs.

Community oncology practices are going to extraordinary lengths to keep their patients, providers, and practices safe from the COVID-19 virus. However, due to financial and logistical reasons during the pandemic, many patients with cancer are unable travel to receive necessary treatments, appointments, scans and other in-person care.

This program from COA and CancerCare will provide free transportation for patients to and from their community oncology provider. Working with a nationwide transportation provider, practices will be able to organize free local transportation to and from appointments in clean vehicles.

Please check with your provider for additional information on this service.
