Free, Sanitized Transportation for Patients to and from Treatment
Back by popular demand, COA and CancerCare have relaunched the Patient Assistance Transportation Program. Many patients face difficulty finding safe transportation to and from treatment due to COVID-19. The Transportation Program provides free, sanitized transport for patients who need it.
Practices can sign up to be a part of the Transportation Program on the COA website. Two important changes to note about the relaunch of the Patient Transportation Program: (1) the program is now limited to independent, community oncology practices, and (2) is no longer able to cover wait time for passenger pick-up. These policy changes will allow us to maximize the reach and impact of this program to more patients.
